Psalm 23 Prayer Vigil

This year's prayer vigil looks a little different than year's past. The vigil begins with the Ash Wednesday Service, and is followed by a weekly prayer time. The Prayer Vigil is made available online each Wednesday throughout lent, via our Facebook page, or on this website. It can also be made available by request through e-mail.

Each week focuses on a verse(s) from the 23rd Psalm and provides activities to lead you into private worship and prayer time. It is our hope that you will take time during each week to pray and complete the activities. The activities provided will serve as a guide to lead you into a deeper more meaningful prayer time and Lenten experience.

During this time of online worship, when we can't gather and see the faces of those we have missed so much over the past year, it's great to see those familiar faces or things that remind us of those we have missed. In that spirit, those participating in the Prayer Vigil are asked to take a photograph that symbolizes the week's lesson as part of the lesson and asked to send the photo to UUMC at to be used in a future church service.

We hope this time spent is prayer will serve to unite us together in one heart and one mind in Christ Jesus.

The Prayer Vigil begins on Wednesday, February 24 and continues each week in lent with a new study.
